May is coming to
an end and I’m looking forward to a holiday weekend with watermelon &
dinners cooked on the grill. I attended the Art & Soul Retreat in
Hampton VA this month and returned with mixed feelings. Of the 6
classes I took only 2 knocked my socks off. My completed books are
fabulous and I’m pleased to tell you that one of them is a fabric
journal which required lots of sewing. I enjoyed this class with Keely
Barham so much that I asked Mom for a sewing machine and got one! Now
I’ve got to learn to use it, so wish me luck. The second book was made
with paste papers, colored gesso, and more, and was my hands-down
favorite. If you ever have a chance to take a class from Albie Smith,
run to the registration counter & sign up fast.
June is right
around the corner, which means lots of travel and lots of teaching for
me. If you’re in the Myrtle Beach, SC area, come join me on June 7th
for two techniques classes at Artful Legacy. Then there will be guinea
pig classes in the studio before I fly to Orlando on the 26th
for StampFest.
Summer’s also right
around the corner. Put on your shorts, play with some stamps, inks, &
paints, and don’t be surprised to find me with inky knees!

Enjoy your visit,
Lovely Linda
